My Shoe Collection

I haven't blogged in the last few days and I thought I would do something a bit different and show you all the shoes I own! Most of these are heels as the flats I do own are old and falling apart, and I haven't included my Uggs or Doc's as they are dirty right now :) oh and I recently got Chelsea boots as I wrote about it in my Christmas post, click here.

Anyone who knows me knows I love shoes and mainly high heels I can't get enough of them and when I get money in I will defiantly be adding to my collection. Also if you like this post leave a comment and a link to your blog and show me your shoe collection!

Wednesday Update: Hair,Shoes!

Hello everyone not much news this week been in a bit of a down mood for some unknown reason, just been staying in the house as the weather has been horrid! It was lovely when it snowed at the weekend but on the news they were making out like we had some sort of blizzard when really it was only about 2cm! After that day of snow its basically just been cold and icy.

The view from outside my window.

I also dyed my hair like I said in a previous post I want my hair to be lighter so I bought a hair lightening kit and got my mum to do it. It did get my hair from a dark brown to a medium brown with some coppery highlights but I don't particularly like it. I'm undecided whether to just bleach my hair and keep toning it or keep getting highlights?? Ahh hair dilemmas!!

I love this really light blonde colour/Miley Cyrus.
I love this colour its not as harsh a the pic before and the cut is cute/Scarlett Johansson

I love this light brown with the blonde highlights. I think this would be less harmful to my hair if I went down this route.

Rihanna has recently changed her hair, again! I loved her with the short black hair but she has decided to put the weave back in and gone for an ombre look.
I really like this on her its a lot softer and the length is perfect for those who want extensions without them looking fake.

I have found a new model called Gina Harrison through Tumblr and I love her platinum blonde hair and extreme makeup she has for shoots, she is actually stunning!

I found online some Jeffrey Campbell Lita Crown Black and Gold Boots. I know I'm a little behind the trend as everyone was loving the original about 2 years ago. These particular ones are about £120 so it will take me a while to purchase them!
Till next time lovelies

Wednesday Update: Change!

Hope you all had a good week so far I don't know what been going on with my sleeping pattern this week but I've been so tired and when I do go to bed I can't sleep. I swear I must be an owl or something. So I need to sort that out in the next week because I can't stand being nocturnal for too much longer.

I have also changed my background as its meant to be snowing soon in England in some parts it already has so I'm getting in the mood for it. Leave a comment if you can see my subscribe button because it wasn't showing before?

I have also decided this week that I will defiantly be getting a tattoo or two this year (I was going to get one when I turned 18 but I didn't and that was 2 years ago). I already know I'm going to get scripture just under my collar bone for my friend who died and then I really want a rose. Still not sure where to get it, maybe on my hand or foot? But I do know I want all tattoo's I get to be black and grey its just a personal preference.
I went on Google and found some images.

I also in the future want an Egyptian tattoo more than likely Bastet Goddess of the cats. She is the goddess of protection against contagious diseases and evil spirits. I want it to have jewelry around its neck to make it more authentic as that's what Egyptians used to do as they worshiped their cats and I worship mine.

Right I'm off to make dinner and tomorrow I'm going to start on my exercise DVD hopefully I don't die halfway through a 20 minute workout! Wish me luck!
Leave a comment for suggestions for my Friday film review.

Friday Review: Silver Linings Playbook

Yes I realise today is not Friday and this blog post is very late. Too be honest I've been very lazy this week and couldn't be bothered, but now I can so here we go!!!

Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Chris Tucker, Jacki Weaver

Plot: Former teacher Pat (Cooper) returns to live with his parents after spending 8 months in a mental institute. As he tries to get his wife back and prove to her that he has changed he meets Tiffany (Lawrence) who has problems of her own.

Rating: 18/R

Thoughts:
First of all I have been waiting to see this film for so long I just had a gut reaction that I would love this film. I have been a fan of Bradley Cooper for a while but this film I think propels him into the spotlight for a different reason and shows people he can really act. I really like his character Pat someone who has lost everything and is trying to find a silver lining in life and show that he can turn his life around. Even though as an audience member we can all start to see how delusional he is about the re-connection of him and his wife we still connect to his hope that everything will hopefully get better.
I loved his first scenes when he meets Tiffany, he is so blunt and has no filter. There were moments I couldn't help but have a giggle even though in the circumstances it would seem wrong, this film makes it ok because if you can't have a laugh in life when can you.
Jennifer Lawrence was amazing in this role, you believe she is Tiffany and she has had a hard road and maybe she doesn't feel she deserves something good but she is going to fight for her silver lining. Lawrence and Cooper have irresistible chemistry in this film, the way they look at each other is perfect. Just because people has problems does not mean we don't have the right to be happy and this message is clear throughout the whole film.
De Niro stars as Pat's father who is incredibly OCD about football and although wants his son to get better he is almost too wrapped up in his own obsessions to understand what his son is doing. De Niro was perfect in this, he was so good as was Weaver and Tucker. Everyone fits in this movie perfectly, they all belong and nothing feels out of place.
Some scenes will make you laugh and smile others will make to take a look at your own life and tear up about how real and how hard life can be. Be with your family and friends, stop and look at the signs, do something that makes you happy, do what feels right and stop judging others. This film will hopefully win a lot of awards because it deserves them and defiantly should get some Oscars. One of my favourites of the year!

A must see

Wednesday Update: Hair and Nails

Hey just a quick update as to what I've been doing the past week. The answer is not a lot!
My sister did glitter acrylics on my thumbs and the rest of my nails used a clear layer of acrylic to make them stronger then used her new Revlon nail polishes and gems to give a really cool effect. I love them.

Next I watched The Paperboy starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Matthew Mcconaughey it was different but really good. I also like the fact Efron decided to be in a film like this as it shows that he isn't just one dimensional and can distance himself from teen films.

I have also been listening to Aiden Grimshaw who I've loved ever since X Factor and I have just purchased his debut album Misty Eye on Amazon so hopefully that will arrive in the next few days.

I have to go again to the doctors for a review of medication which happens every month its so annoying as not a lot has changed but still I suppose they have to keep updated.

I'm also incredibly bored of my hair I haven't dyed it since September last year I think which is a long time for me as I like change. I want to make it lighter and give it a bit of life but I really don't want to bleach it. So I'm probably going to buy a highlight kit and do a full head of blonde highlights and see how that turns out. I also might ask my auntie to cut my hair just a little shorter and just straight all the way round so it looks more like a bob. I would do it but I can't see the back of my head!

I have a huge girl crush on Phoebe Tonkin right now, every time I see a picture of her I'm like how can someone be that stunning. Late last year she was sporting a messy bob which I love and will hopefully achieve when my fringe grows out.

So I will update with my review on Friday!!!
Any suggestions leave a comment.

Spring TV Breakdown

I thought as its the start of the new year some of my favourite TV programmes are starting again so here is the rundown on things to watch!

Glee: Season 4 kicks off with Rachel in NYADA and the younger members still in Glee club in Ohio. New Directions set out to find new members whilst still cementing their place in the group. We also get to find out what happened to all of our favourite members throughout the season. Glee has always been it for me, its fun, you can sing along and it has some great characters and storylines. The more Darren Criss on my screen the better!! Showing on Sky1.

Hawaii 5-0: Coming back for Season 3, Steve McGarrett finds out that his mother had faked her death all along, and his team try to combat Wo Fat once and for all, but nothing is as it seems. I have watched the re-make of this programme since its start in 2010, its a perfect mix of humor and action. Showing on Sky1.

Dancing on Ice: 10 new celebrities take to the ice with their professional partners each week someone is voted out till the winner is crowned. I've always loved this show its so much fun and thrilling to see untrained people take on huge performances. Showing on ITV1.

American Horror Story Asylum: Season 2 of the horror franchise is about halfway through I think. It is set in a mental institute where we meet new characters and find out about their lives and why they came to be in such a horrid place. I'm not normally a horror fan but I watched season 1 and loved it, season 2 is very different but still just as creepy. Jessica Lange is scarily good in this role as it everyone Showing on FX/FOX

Mr Selfridge: New series. Jeremy Piven stars as Mr.Selfridge in a true story of the creation of one of the biggest department stores in the world. As I'm writing this I am watching the 1st episode and I have to say I'm loving it. It's so classy, I love the fashion and the whole concept of the start of this huge store and all rules/regulations to make it perfect. Showing on ITV1.

Let me know what your favourite programmes are of the spring.

Review Friday: The Dark Knight Rises

Starring: Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine

Plot: Set 8 years after the previous film the Dark Knight has been in seclusion until a new terrorist mercenary Bane causes havoc in Gotham. Batman must re-surface and work with the police force to protect the city that believe he killed the worshiped Harvey Dent.

Rating: PG-13

My Thoughts:
I was looking forward to see this film not only because it was the last in the trilogy for Nolan and Bale but because they released a picture of Hardy as Bane and it was amazing! This just made everyone squeal with excitement as we all knew it was going to be epic! And it didn't disappoint!
Yes I realize this film came out a while ago and when it was in the cinema I had bad anxiety and couldn't go, but I got the DVD for Christmas and me, my mum and sister sat down to see the conclusion of this epic trilogy. Firstly even though I wanted to see this film so much I was a little nervous because Heath Ledger's Joker was in my opinion the best villain in film and I couldn't see how Hardy's Bane could stand up to that. But I did not need to worry, yes Bane is completely different to the Joker but just as good as a credible villain, sadistic, terrifying and a mastermind. Hardy was perfect for this role.
Bale is always great as Batman, he just is Batman. His emotional parts in this film really make the audience feel connected to Bruce Wayne in a way we never have before.
I wasn't sure about Hathaway being Catwoman but she really surprised me and adds a lot of value to the film, she really was a good fit for this role.
Michael Caine was even better in this film his presence makes Nolan's films feel complete. You may need to wipe away a few tears after seeing Caine's performance.
This film is so well rounded and different to the 2 other previous Nolan Batman films. This is a great ending and feels complete. Nolan did an excellent job and really did make the film of the year.
I expect some Oscar nominations for this!

A must see
